LALIGA and PUMA have presented the STELLAR NITRO ULTIMATE as the official match ball for the 2026/27 LALIGA season, the league announced in an official press release.
The release, published May 26, said the ball uses PUMA's NITROFOAM core, a nitrogen-infused foam built to return more energy on impact. In plain match terms, the league is selling speed, responsiveness and a truer flight, not just a new paint job.

LALIGA described the STELLAR NITRO ULTIMATE as PUMA's most technologically advanced ball for top-level competitions. The same release said the model will also be the official match ball of the Premier League and Serie A, putting it into use across three major European leagues.
The construction detail is more useful than the usual launch language. LALIGA said the ball has a 4+4 panel structure designed to balance airflow and reduce drag, while a rougher textured outer surface is intended to help the ball keep speed and stability through its path.

The ball was made available from May 26 through puma.com and selected retailers worldwide, according to LALIGA. No financial terms for the supplier arrangement were included in the league release.
