Villarreal, Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey faces new rape charges in

Thomas Partey is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court in London on Mar. 13 for a hearing relating to two new rape charges.

The Villarreal and Ghana midfielder previously pleaded not guilty to five counts of rape against two women and a sexual assault charge against a third woman. He was granted conditional bail in September.

The two new charges were first reported to police last summer, with the alleged offences occurring in 2020.

Partey, 32, spent five years at Arsenal from 2020 to 2025 and was charged for the first time upon the expiry of his contract last summer.

His rape trial is set for Nov. 2, 2026.

The midfielder joined Villarreal on a free transfer and has made 21 appearances across all competitions this season.
