The 2026 World Cup will conclude Sunday with a closing ceremony before Spain face defending champion Argentina in the final, followed by the tournament's first halftime show.
The closing ceremony is scheduled to begin 90 minutes before kickoff. FIFA said the production will recognize the 48 teams that competed across 16 host cities in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
Closing ceremony brings music and football together
Italian singer Laura Pausini, who performed during the opening of the Milan Cortina Olympics, will be joined by Nicole Scherzinger, Robbie Williams and streamer IShowSpeed. Actor Tom Cruise is also scheduled to make a special appearance.
The ceremony is designed to connect the tournament's opening celebrations with the final through music, culture and football. It will lead directly into the match that determines the 2026 champion.
Four global acts lead the first World Cup halftime show
Madonna, Shakira, Justin Bieber and BTS will co-headline an 11-minute halftime performance at New York New Jersey Stadium. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin curated the show.
The halftime production will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which is seeking to raise $100 million to improve children's access to education and soccer.
Afrobeats artist Burna Boy, Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the PS22 Chorus are also scheduled to perform. Coldplay will join the chorus during its appearance.
TSN confirms ceremony and halftime coverage
The closing ceremony is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. ET and 10:30 a.m. PT on Sunday. The halftime show is expected at approximately 3:45 p.m. ET and 12:45 p.m. PT.

The entertainment program adds two major live productions to a final between Spain and Argentina. The pre-match ceremony will celebrate the full tournament, while the halftime show will introduce a new element to the World Cup final.
