Las Vegas Aces forward A'ja Wilson and Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers led the first fan returns for 2026 WNBA All-Star voting, giving the league an early look at the race for starter spots before voting closes June 27.
The WNBA's official release said Wilson led all players with 308,249 votes, followed by Bueckers with 298,027. Indiana Fever forward Aliyah Boston was third with 282,186, New York Liberty forward Breanna Stewart was fourth with 255,879, and Fever guard Caitlin Clark was fifth with 253,602.
Wilson And Bueckers Lead First Returns
The first returns are not the final roster, but they matter because fan voting accounts for 50 percent of the starter selection formula. Current WNBA players and a media panel each account for 25 percent, with players ranked by position inside all three voting groups.
The four guards and six frontcourt players with the best weighted score will be named starters. The league said fan voting will serve as the tiebreaker for players in the same position group with the same score.
The rest of the top 10 in the first returns were Dallas forward Jessica Shepard with 211,598 votes, Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese with 204,643, Golden State Valkyries forward Gabby Williams with 195,641, Minnesota Lynx guard Olivia Miles with 179,283, and Indiana guard Kelsey Mitchell with 170,125.
Chicago All-Star Game Set For July 25
The 2026 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game is scheduled for Saturday, July 25, at United Center in Chicago, with ABC carrying the game at 8:30 p.m. ET. The league said starters and reserves will be announced later.
After starters are set, the league's 15 head coaches will select 12 reserves. Coaches will vote for three guards, five frontcourt players and four players at either position, but they cannot vote for players on their own teams.
The head coaches for the All-Star Game will be the coaches of the two teams with the best records after games played Friday, July 10, regardless of conference. That leaves the coaching assignments tied to regular-season performance rather than fan voting.
For now, the verified picture is narrow: Wilson and Bueckers lead the first fan returns, voting remains open through June 27, and the All-Star format still splits starter selection between fans, players and media.
