Udinese have transferred goalkeeper Razvan Sava to Universitatea Craiova on a permanent deal, the Serie A club announced on June 19.
The Italian club said the transfer sends Sava back to Romania while Udinese retain a buyback right on the player's sporting registration. No fee was disclosed in the official announcement.
Udinese Confirm Permanent Sava Transfer
Udinese's statement described the move as a definitive transfer to Universitatea Craiova, with a right of re-purchase in favor of the Friulian club. That keeps a future path back open while moving the goalkeeper off the current squad list.
Sava leaves Friuli after two seasons in black and white. Udinese said he made 23 appearances for the club across Serie A and Coppa Italia.
The club's wording was narrow and useful: a completed permanent exit, a Romanian destination and a retained buyback mechanism. It did not announce salary terms, contract length with Craiova or a transfer fee.
Craiova Move Returns Goalkeeper To Romania
The destination also matters beyond the paperwork. Sava is returning to his home country with Universitatea Craiova, one of the larger Romanian clubs, after spending two seasons in Italy's top-flight environment.
For Udinese, the buyback right is the practical detail. It lets the club move a goalkeeper who had been part of the senior setup while preserving optionality if his development in Romania makes a later return attractive.
Udinese closed the announcement by thanking Sava for his professionalism and wishing him well in the new experience. The sporting part is already settled: Sava is now a Craiova player, and Udinese have kept one contractual lever for the future.
