Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have not publicly confirmed the details, but reports around a possible wedding at Madison Square Garden have continued to build as the alleged July 3 date approaches.
Rumors for months have pointed to MSG as the venue, a choice that surprised some Fans who had expected Rhode Island because Swift owns property there and has often been linked to the area. Madison Square Garden offers a different advantage: privacy, with no windows for outside viewing and an underground entrance that could allow the couple and guests to arrive away from public view.
The venue also gives Swift and Kelce room for a large guest list. Reports have ranged from a smaller private event to more than 1,000 guests, and The Garden can handle a crowd that size.
Crews have been seen bringing in decor and equipment as the reported date nears. TMZ reported that a castle and a garden will be built inside the venue, while CBS Footage showed trucks labeled “Garden Party 1.”
The reported wedding window runs from July 2 to July 4, with a more intimate gathering expected the night before the July 3 ceremony. Cocktail hour is expected to begin at 4 p.m. on July 3, with the event going late into the night.
Kelce’s side could include Chiefs teammates and coaches. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid are considered likely guests, with Reid also described as a friend of Swift’s father. Several team members reportedly booked hotels near MSG, and Jason Kelce is viewed as a logical Best Man choice.
Swift’s side is expected to reflect her long-running attention to detail, from Easter Eggs to carefully planned visuals and timing. Stevie Nicks is rumored to be performing, and other singer friends could also be part of the entertainment. Swift may have chosen not to have bridesmaids, and if there are flower girls or ring bearers, Jason Kelce’s four daughters are natural possibilities.
Security and privacy planning have become part of the story. ABC confirmed that Permits were made to close portions of West 31st Street and West 33rd Street to vehicles and pedestrians for the events. The New York City Police Department is preparing for extra attention in the area, with Swift Fans expected to gather in NYC.
The couple has also hired private security, per CBS. All wedding events are expected to have a no-phone policy, with guests reportedly required to sign NDAs and invitations watermarked.
Swift and Kelce’s relationship became public after Travis said on New Heights in 2023 that he had attended a Swift concert and was interested in meeting her. Swift was first spotted at a Chiefs game in September 2023 and later became a regular presence at Arrowhead Stadium.
They continued to appear together publicly, with Kelce joining Swift on stage during the Eras Tour and Swift appearing on New Heights. The couple announced their engagement on Aug. 26, 2025.
