Napoli clinches Champions League spot as four teams compete for two remaining places

The Result Under The Result

MILAN — Napoli secured a spot in next season's Champions League with a comfortable win at already-relegated Pisa, but the other two remaining places in Europe's elite club competition could go to any of four teams in Serie A.

Scott McTominay, Amir Rrahmani and Rasmus Højlund scored in a 3-0 victory that ensured Antonio Conte's team will finish in the top four of the Italian league with one round remaining.

The matchup already has enough history; the job is to keep the reading list shorter than the tension.

AC Milan and Roma both won Sunday to leave them level on points in third and fourth place. Juventus and Como are two points further back, trailing Napoli on 73 points. The final round will decide everything, with all matches kicking off simultaneously.

The Useful Context

Inter Milan clinched the Serie A title with three rounds remaining and celebrated with the trophy at San Siro during a draw against Hellas Verona in its final home game. The club also won the Italian Cup last week to complete the double for the first time since 2010, then embarked on an open-top bus parade through Milan.

Christian Pulisic came on as a second-half substitute in Milan's 2-1 win at Genoa. The United States forward had missed the previous match with a lower-back problem but recovered earlier than expected and entered in the 76th minute. Five minutes after coming off the bench, he set up Zachary Athekame for a goal from outside the area. Pulisic has not scored in 18 league matches since late December.

Roma won its derby against Lazio 2-0, but the victory was marred by brawls after each goal. Defender Wesley and Lazio midfielder Nicolò Rovella were sent off after throwing punches at each other. Gianluca Mancini scored twice from corners.

The Part Still Unclear

Juventus lost 2-0 at home to fierce rivals Fiorentina and was roundly jeered. Como held on for a 1-0 win over Parma to keep its Champions League hopes alive, just seven years after playing in Italy's fourth division.

In the relegation picture, Cremonese won at Udinese but remained a point below safety. Lecce scored deep in stoppage time to beat Sassuolo 3-2 and will host Genoa in the final round. Cagliari beat Torino to guarantee Serie A survival. Bologna won at Atalanta.
