Liverpool ‘Make Contact’ With Yan Diomande to Kickstart Andoni Iraola

The Roster Takes Shape

The Reds have entered talks with Leipzig over the teenage striker, multiple clubs have been watching the situation closely.

The Athletic reports Liverpool have made contact with Leipzig and are now in the strongest position to sign Yan Diomande, the 19-year-old who has attracted interest from Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea.

The numbers are doing most of the announcement work here, which is usually how teams prefer it.

The Margins Are Thin

Diomande has 13 goals and nine assists in 36 appearances across all competitions this season. He is expected to start for Côte d'Ivoire at the 2026 World Cup in North America.

"My contract is until 2030 so I have four more years," he told Sky Sports. "I want to be one of the best on the field. But I want to go slowly, step by step."

The Next Test Arrives

If Liverpool secure his signature, they would land one of the most sought-after young attackers in Europe. The timing matters—impressive performances at the World Cup could push his price even higher.
