Jets News: Gee Scott Signs with New York as Receiver

The New York Jets have signed Gee Scott, moving him from tight end to wide receiver. He worked out with the team in that role before getting the deal, per Amanda Vogt of the team's official site.

Scott has cut weight for the tryout, according to Connor Hughes of SNY.tv. He's played tight end professionally, but the Jets are giving him a shot at a different position on offense.

To earn a spot on the 53-man roster, Scott will need to make a strong impression early in training. The competition at receiver is already crowded, and rosters don't wait for late arrivals to find their footing.
