Aliyah Boston And Caitlin Clark Make WNBA History In Fever Overtime Win

Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark became the first pair of WNBA teammates to post 30-point double-doubles in the same game, leading the Indiana Fever past the Chicago Sky 114-106 in overtime Thursday night in Indianapolis.

Boston finished with 34 points and 12 rebounds, while Clark added 32 points and 10 assists. ESPN reported, citing ESPN Research, that Clark's third career 30-point, 10-assist game is the most in WNBA history.

Boston And Clark Set WNBA Teammates Record

The record came in a game Indiana had to win twice. The Fever led 96-93 with 18.9 seconds left in regulation before Clark made two free throws, but Indiana then turned the ball over on an inbounds play with 5.1 seconds remaining.

Skylar Diggins forced overtime by tying the game at 98 with a long 3-pointer. Chicago had erased a 19-point first-half deficit earlier, using a 14-2 run before halftime and a 16-7 start to the third quarter to take its first lead since the opening minutes.

Boston restored control in overtime with a jumper from the free-throw line that put Indiana ahead 106-101. Kelsey Mitchell followed with a fast-break layup, and Boston later sealed the result with two free throws after Sydney Taylor had pulled Chicago within 109-106.

Fever Close Overtime After Sky Rally

Chicago went 1-for-8 from the field in overtime, according to the AP report carried by ESPN. That cold finish mattered after the Sky had done enough late in regulation to make the record night feel less tidy.

Mitchell finished with 19 points for Indiana, and Lexie Hull added 11. The Fever made their first 23 free throw attempts before missing with 46 seconds left in overtime, and Clark went 15-for-15 at the line.

For Chicago, Taylor led the way with 30 points. Diggins had 21, while Jacy Sheldon, Azura Stevens and Kamilla Cardoso each scored 10. Cardoso fouled out with 3:40 left in regulation.

Indiana Moves To 7-5

The ESPN scoreboard listed Indiana at 7-5 after the win and Chicago at 4-9. The final score was verified as Indiana 114, Chicago 106, with the game listed as final after overtime.

Boston's performance was the second 30-point double-double of her career. Clark's line added another league record marker to a night that already had enough late-game disorder to test Indiana's composure.

The Fever left with both pieces: a verified WNBA first for their two stars and an overtime win that held up after Chicago's regulation comeback.
