Federico Dimarco marks Serie A MVP honor with stunning free kick as Inter draws Bologna 3-3

Inter 3-3 Bologna

Inter Milan midfielder Federico Dimarco was presented with his Serie A MVP award just before kickoff and marked the occasion by curling a stunning 25‑yard free kick into the top right corner, giving the Nerazzurri an early lead in a 3‑3 draw with Bologna at Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.

The game had little riding on it—Inter had already secured the league title and the Italian Cup, while Bologna could not catch Europe.

The matchup already has enough history; the job is to keep the reading list shorter than the tension.

Coach Cristian Chivu gave World Cup bound players Hakan Çalhanoglu, Manuel Akanji, Marcus Thuram and Denzel Dumfries an extra week off, but captain Lautaro Martínez started because the Argentina forward needed more minutes after returning from injury.

Three minutes after the opener, Federico Bernardeschi levelled the score, and shortly before halftime Tommaso Pobega’s volley, off a double deflection, put Bologna ahead.

Bologna had lost half of its previous home matches this season, but it appeared on course for victory at Stadio Renato Dall’Ara when Piotr Zieliński turned a cross into his own net early in the second half.

Pio Esposito pulled one back in the 64th minute, tapping in after Andy Diouf’s effort hit the post. Diouf added the final goal in the 86th minute.

The own goal showed how a match with nothing on the line can still produce the kind of chaos that matters.

Lazio 2-1 Pisa

Pedro signed off from Lazio with the decisive goal in a 2‑1 comeback win over already‑relegated Pisa at home.

The 38‑year‑old winger is leaving the capital club after five years, having played for Barcelona, Chelsea and Roma, and winning the World Cup with Spain in 2010 and the European Championship two years later.

Lazio players wore a special commemorative patch on their shirts for his final match.

Stefano Moreo gave Pisa an early lead, but Fisayo Dele‑Bashiru and Pedro scored two quick goals to turn the game around.

The patch on Lazio’s shirt made the farewell feel less like a player leaving and more like a small ceremony.

Most of the remaining Serie A matches round off on Sunday night, with four clubs fighting for the last two Champions League spots and two teams battling relegation.
