Crystal Palace were held by 10-man Leeds after Dominic Calvert-Lewin missed a penalty and Gabriel Gudmundsson was sent off in a goalless draw.
Daniel Farke’s side remain without a win in their last 12 visits to London, but Leeds still left with a point after playing the whole second half short-handed. The result may prove useful, with Leeds pulled back toward the relegation fight after five matches without a win.
Leeds had an early chance in the 15th minute when Ismaïla Sarr failed to deal with a headed clearance and Brenden Aaronson was left with a clear sight of goal. Aaronson dragged his effort across goal and wide.
With Dean Henderson out through illness, Walter Benítez made his Premier League debut for Palace. The 33-year-old Argentinian, whose previous appearance came in the FA Cup defeat at Macclesfield, looked uneasy early and was fortunate not to carry the ball behind his own line after catching a Calvert-Lewin header.
The first half had been quiet until Palace captain Will Hughes handled Anton Stach’s corner and conceded a penalty. Calvert-Lewin sent Benitez the wrong way, but put his shot wide of the left-hand post.
Leeds then had another flashpoint when Jaka Bijol, already booked for a needless handball, avoided a second yellow after a body-check on Sarr. Instead, referee Tom Bramall booked both Glasner and Farke as frustration rose on the touchline.
Farke’s mood worsened when Gudmundsson was booked for a foul on Sarr. Bramall appeared not to realize at first that Gudmundsson had already been shown a yellow 20 minutes earlier, but the red card eventually followed.
Glasner introduced Jean-Philippe Mateta early in the second half, with the French striker receiving a mixed reaction on his first league appearance since a failed attempt to join AC Milan in January. Mateta nearly made the breakthrough from Sarr’s cross, but Karl Darlow clawed the effort behind.
Leeds were angered again when Brennan Johnson, already on a booking, tripped James Justin and stayed on. Palace then thought Jefferson Lerma had scored, only for Johnson to be flagged offside.
