Bayern Munich 4-1 Hoffenheim — Harry Kane scored a hat trick as the champions cruised to victory at the PreZero Arena.
First Half
Bayern looked set for a goalless draw at halftime before Kane struck in the final minute of the opening period.
The England international drifted away from his marker before lashing home Karl's pinpoint corner with a fine first-time strike to put the champions 1-0 up.
Second Half
Just 38 seconds after the break, Sacha Boey's strike from outside the area hit Albian Hajdari's hand.
A penalty was awarded, and Kane made no mistake, steering his strike into the bottom corner to double Bayern's lead.
Michael Olise drew a foul from Bernardo with 13 minutes remaining, giving Kane the chance to secure his second hat trick of the season.
Kane duly converted, blasting his strike into the top corner to complete his treble.
Consolation Goal
Hoffenheim did get one back through former West Ham right back Vladimír Coufal's deflected free-kick eight minutes from time.
However, substitute Serge Gnabry tapped home a rebound in the ninth minute of stoppage time to restore Bayern's three-goal advantage.
Season Stats
Kane took his club tally to 13 goals from seven games in all competitions this season.
He also scored two in the 3-1 Champions League win over Chelsea on Wednesday.
The strike marked his 98th goal for Bayern in just 103 matches since his exit from Tottenham.
Bayern's Perfect Start
The win sees Vincent Kompany's side maintain their 100 per cent start to the campaign as they bid to retain their Bundesliga crown.
Bayern's victory follows 6-0 and 5-0 home wins against RB Leipzig and Hamburg, plus a 3-2 away triumph at Augsburg.
They won both league matches against Hoffenheim last season with an aggregate scoreline of 9-0.
