Drake London lands $141M Falcons extension, third-highest-paid NFL receiver

The Atlanta Falcons gave Drake London a four-year extension worth $141 million, with $100 million guaranteed, his agent told ESPN. He is now the third-highest-paid receiver in the NFL on a per-year basis.

London's place in the receiver market

The deal gives London the largest average annual salary in Falcons history. The contract includes incentives that can push the total value to $150 million. That places him firmly behind the top two receivers in terms of annual earnings—an odd sort of prestige, being famously third.

The numbers are doing most of the announcement work here, which is usually how teams prefer it.

London is heading into his fifth professional season. He increased his yardage output in his second and third years and was on pace for another strong campaign in 2025 before hip and knee injuries cost him five games. He has consistently been a 1,000-yard threat and figures to approach double-digit touchdowns again this season.

The Falcons' offensive future

Atlanta's quarterback situation remains unresolved, with Michael Penix Jr. and Tua Tagovailoa set to compete for the starting job. Regardless of who wins the job, London gives them a proven target.

The team still needs to address other key players. Bijan Robinson is due for an extension and could become the highest-paid running back in league history. The Falcons placed the franchise tag on Kyle Pitts earlier this offseason. If he does not sign an extension before the July 15 deadline, he will play the 2026 season on a fully guaranteed $16 million salary.

With London, Robinson and Pitts potentially locked in, Atlanta will maintain one of the league's most talented offensive skill position groups.
