On September 3, 2025, 54 undrafted free agents from the 2025 NFL Draft class appeared on active rosters around the league. Quarterback was the least represented position, and linebacker was the most well-represented. Dozens more will follow that path into the league this year.
Three undrafted free agents received practical guarantees exceeding $300,000: Or egon offensive tackle Isaiah World (Chargers), Texas A&M; linebacker Taurean York (Broncos) and Utah edge rusher Logan Fano (Browns), according to Spotrac. Over the past three years, just eight players landed in that category.
The record does not need much decoration; it already does the talking.
The hit rate for those top-tier guarantees proves notable. Four of those eight players appeared in 12 or more games as rookie s, while the other four played in one game or fewer. That 50% success rate is considerably higher than for players who received less than $300,000 in practical guarantees last year and made the roster, which came in at just 10.3%.
The Players to Watch Across the League
Cincinnati Bengals: S Isaiah Nwokobia, SMU. The tape shows a stat-stuffer over his collegiate career. He needs to improve at finishing tackles in open space—something Bengals fans don't want to revisit after how last season ended—but he brings good size and drives hard toward the ball.
Los Angeles Chargers: San Diego State offensive tackle Christian Jones received the team's largest practical guarantee at $50,000.
Cleveland Browns: EDGE Logan Fano, Utah. He is the brother of first-round selection Spencer Fano and was draft-worthy in his own right. The team's two highest-paid undrafted free agents are both edge rushers—Fano at $310,000 and Vanderbilt's Khordae Sydnor at $275,000. Fano recorded 4.5 sacks last season for the Utes.
Baltimore Ravens: DL Aaron Graves, Iowa. The Ravens were expected to address the ir front seven in the draft but waited until the seventh round to do so. Graves was given the team's largest practical guarantee at $60,000 and posted 11 sacks over the past two season s. Iowa defenders tend to transition cleanly to the NFL.
Pittsburgh Steelers: TE Lake McCree, USC. Pittsburgh aggressively acquired veterans and carries an older roster, so the re may not be many spots open for competition. McCree offers a different build than existing tight ends Darnell Washington and Pat Freiermuth.
Indianapolis Colts: LSU linebacker West Weeks received the highest practical guarantee at $286,500 out of five players the team signed. He plays a position of need for the Colts, who took two linebackers in the draft.
Jacksonville Jaguars: With out a first-round pick, Jacksonville had the luxury of devoting more financial resources to undrafted free agents. Virginia running back J'Mari Taylor and South Carolina edge rusher Bryan Thomas Jr. received the largest practical guarantees at $277,500 each.
Houston Texans: Iowa State offensive tackle James Neal III received the team's highest practical guarantee at $277,500, which aligns with the team's need for youth along its offensive line.
Tennessee Titans: Illinois wide receiver Hank Beatty received the largest practical guarantee at $272,500, though the deck is stacked against him making the final roster. The Titans employ Calvin Ridley, Wan'Dale Robinson, Carnell Tate, Chimere Dike and Elic Ayomanor.
Houston Texans: Cornerback was a massive need for Tennessee. The team signed Alontae Taylor, Cor'Dale Flott and Joshua Williams in free agency. Houston cornerback Latrell McCutchin and Tennessee cornerback Jalen McMurray should not be overlooked in a bid to make the roster.
Buffalo Bills: WR Ja'Mori Maclin, Kentucky. Maclin is the cousin of former NFL receiver Jeremy Maclin. It is a long shot that he makes the roster given the talent Buffalo acquired at the position, but the franchise has shown a soft spot for Kentucky players, already employing running back Ray Davis, cornerback Maxwell Hairston and defensive lineman Deone Walker.
Miami Dolphins: EDGE Mason Reiger, Wisconsin. Miami turned over its edge rusher room with Jaelan Phillips, Bradley Chubb and And rew Van Ginkel all departed in recent years. Reiger is relentless in pursuit of the quarterback and has great size.
Louisville Cardinals: Louisville defensive lineman Rene Konga got some late heat during the pre-draft process following a strong Pro Day performance. He has developmental size and physical traits, though the gameplay did not always match the profile.
