MILAN (AP) — Inter Milan midfielder Federico Dimarco celebrated his Serie A MVP award by scoring a stunning free kick in his team's final match of the season.
The Nerazzurri played out a 3-3 draw with Bologna at Stadio Renato Dall'Ara, with Dimarco opening the scoring with a 25-yard strike into the top right corner.
Dimarco was presented with his MVP award just before the match. "It means a lot to finish the season like this," he said after the game.
Inter had already secured the league title and the Italian Cup before Saturday's match. Despite nothing riding on the result, both sides produced an entertaining encounter.
Bologna took the lead shortly before halftime when Tommaso Pobega's volley took a double deflection. Piotr Zieliński's own goal early in the second half appeared to put the hosts on course for victory.
However, pio Esposito reduced the deficit in the 64th minute with a tap-in, and Andy Diouf equalized in the 86th minute to seal a dramatic draw.
