ROME — Como won 2-1 at Cagliari thanks to a stunning long-range goal by midfielder Lucas de Cunha, keeping the club in fifth place in Serie A on Saturday.
Como Stays Hot With Third Consecutive Win
Cesc Fàbregas' side has now won three straight matches in the Italian league, losing only once in their last 11 games across all competitions. Como also held Inter Milan to a scoreless draw in the first leg of their Coppa Italia semifinal earlier this week.
Martin Batinura put Como ahead at Cagliari in the 14th minute, scrambling the ball into the net. Sebastian Esposito leveled for the hosts in the 56th minute.
De Cunha restored Como's lead in the 76th minute, unleashing a powerful shot from well outside the area that found the far post. The victory leaves Como level on points with fourth-placed Roma, whom they face next week.
Juventus Rolls Past Pisa
Seventh-placed Juventus exploded for four second-half goals in a 4-0 home rout of Pisa. Andrea Cambiaso opened the scoring in the 54th minute before Khéphren Thuram, Kenan Yildiz and Jérémie Boga added the others.
Atalanta Comes Back to Draw Udinese
Eighth-placed Atalanta trailed Udinese by two goals before Gianluca Scamacca struck twice in the 75th and 79th minutes to rescue a 2-2 draw.
