Evan Carter is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against Kansas City after being hit by a pitch Friday night.
The outfielder is undergoing precautionary X-rays on his left foot, according to Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News.
Carter was struck by an 86.9-mph slider from pitcher Eli Morgan in the seventh inning during Friday's 9-1 win over the Royals. He remained in the game but is still experiencing soreness, prompting the Rangers to send him for imaging.
Michael Helman will start in center field in Carter's absence Saturday.
