The Edmonton Oilers added forward depth to their organization on Monday, signing Finnish winger Aku Raty to a one-year, two-way contract worth $850,000.
The 24-year-old native of Oulu, Finland, spent most of his career playing for Kärpät in Finland's Liiga, where he posted strong offensive numbers this season.
Career Statistics
In the 2024-25 season with Kärpät, Raty recorded 20 goals and 37 assists over 51 games, finishing seventh in league scoring.
Selected by the Arizona Coyotes in the fifth round of the 2019 NHL Draft, Raty appeared in one NHL game during the 2023-24 season, recording an assist.
North American Experience
Raty played for Arizona Coyotes affiliate teams in the AHL from 2023 to 2025, totaling 21 goals and 48 assists over 120 games.
International Career
He represented Finland at the World Junior Championship in 2020 and 2021, winning a bronze medal in the latter tournament.
