Heliot Ramos Hits Fourth Home Run

May 11, 2026 — Heliot Ramos went 2-for-6 with a solo home run, a second RBI, and three total runs scored in Sunday's 7-6 extra-innings win over the Pirates.

Ramos dominated the Pirates' pitching this weekend, going 6-for-13 with three RBI during the three-game series. This came after he was held hitless in consecutive games for the first time all year with back-to-back 0-for-4 performances against the Padres on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The outfielder is batting .272 with a .743 OPS, four homers, 18 RBI, 17 runs scored, nine doubles, one triple, and no stolen bases over 39 contests. Ramos continues to operate as the Giants' starting left fielder.

Tyler Mahle Allows Two Homers in No-Decision

May 11, 2026 — Tyler Mahle gave up four runs on five hits and two walks while striking out eight over 5.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Pirates on Sunday.

Mahle gave up solo home runs to Konnor Griffin and Oneil Cruz during this start. This is the third time Mahle has given up multiple homers in an outing this season, but he's yielded no other long balls in his other five starts.

The eight strikeouts were a season high for the right-hander. He's pitched to a 5.18 ERA, 1.49 WHIP, and 42:20 K:BB through 41.2 innings this season. Mahle is projected to make his next start on the road versus the Athletics.

Bryce Eldridge on Bench for Second Time in Series

May 10, 2026 — Bryce Eldridge is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.

Eldridge smacked a solo home run in Saturday's 13-3 loss, but he's otherwise made a limited impact since being promoted from Triple-A Sacramento on Monday. Through his first four games with the Giants, Eldridge has gone 2-for-13 with a 1:4 BB:K and no extra-base hits beyond the home run.

Eldridge will hit the bench for the second time in three games, and he looks like he may have to share the designated-hitter spot with Casey Schmitt until his production warrants a larger role.
