Saints Rookie WR Tyson Limited At Rookie Minicamp Due To Hamstring

New Saints wide receiver Matthew Tyson was limited during the team's two-day rookie minicamp earlier this month, practicing only once while on a "maintenance plan" to build him back up after previously missing time with a hamstring injury.

Tyson, who was the No. 8 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, dealt with the hamstring issue during the pre-draft process. The Saints were understandably cautious with the rookie, managing his reps throughout the minicamp.

The next step for Tyson will be OTA sessions scheduled for May 27-28, where he'll have an opportunity to work toward securing a key role in New Orleans' passing offense that already features WR Chris Olave and TE Juwan Johnson.

If Tyson can stay healthy, he's positioned to earn significant playing time out of the gate this season alongside Olave, a scenario that could lead to immediate fantasy relevance for the Arizona State product.
