PARIS (AP) — Paris Saint-Germain returned to the top of Ligue 1 on Saturday, capitalizing on Monaco's upset win over Lens.
PSG Downs Metz to reclaim First Place
Désiré Doué, Bradley Barcola and Gonçalo Ramos scored as PSG defeated last-place Metz 3-0 to move two points clear of Lens with 11 rounds remaining.
Doué opened the scoring after just two minutes, finishing a long ball from Warren Zaïre-Emery behind Metz' high defensive line. Ramos then set up Barcola for the second before halftime.
Ramos added the third in the 77th minute as PSG cruise to victory while conserving energy for Wednesday's Champions League playoff second leg against Monaco.
