Whitecaps Star Muller Endorses Priso for Canada World Cup Squad Call-Up

Vancouver Whitecaps star Thomas Müller gave his support to teammate and Canadian defender Ralph Priso on a potential call-up to Canada's World Cup squad.

"If you want to have a dynamic player, strong player, fast player, call him up," said Müller post-match following Vancouver's 4-2 win over San Diego.

Priso Returns From Injury

The 23-year-old Priso returned to the pitch from injury for the first time since March 21, scoring his first goal of the season in the process.

"Feels good, training is nothing like the game, so it's good to just get back out there and on the pitch," said Priso.

International Experience

In January, the Toronto native was named to the senior team for training camp and a friendly against Guatemala, making an appearance in the match, though it did not count as an official senior cap.

"It's just good to be healthy. Still got to build to where I was before the injury, but good to know that I'm back and available, so we'll see what happens [with the World Cup]."
