The Premier League champion has reversed its ticket price hike plans following fierce backlash from supporters.
Thousands of fans held up yellow cards during a recent home match against Crystal Palace displaying the message: "Caution: Anfield's Soul at Risk."
Supporters boycotted purchasing food and drinks at the stadium in protest, accusing the club of greed.
Frozen Prices
The club's reversal means there will be an inflationary rise next season, with prices frozen the following year.
"Without wider progress on alternative solutions, future inflationary increases may still be required," the club added.
Fan Backlash
Anger erupted when price hikes were announced in March. Supporters' group Spirit of Shankly said: "We should not be conned into thinking it is normal for prices to go up each season. This is a choice LFC are making and one that is driven by greed."
While fans acknowledged the success achieved under owners FSG — including two Premier League titles and a Champions League win — they described the price increases as "tone-deaf and worrying."
