Knicks One Win Away From First NBA Finals Since 1999 After 3-0 Series Lead

The Knicks are one win away from their first NBA Finals appearance since 1999. New York holds a commanding 3-0 lead against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals after winning Game 3 on Saturday night. The Knicks can clinch the East for the first time in 27 years on Sunday.

The Knicks are back in the conference finals for the second consecutive season but have not reached the NBA Finals since 1999. Meanwhile, the Cavaliers have not made the Finals without LeBron James.

Thunder Hold 2-1 Lead in West

The reigning champion Oklahoma City Thunder are two wins away from a return trip to the NBA Finals. OKC leads the Western Conference Finals 2-1 after defeating the Spurs in San Antonio on Friday night. San Antonio jumped out to a 15-point lead, but the Thunder responded quickly and pulled away for a 15-point victory.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander won his second straight MVP award on Sunday. Now he will try to lead the Thunder to their second consecutive title. No NBA team has won back-to-back championships since the Warriors in 2017-18.

Early-Round Eliminations

The Suns, Trail Blazers, Hawks, Nuggets, Rockets, Celtics, Magic and Raptors were all eliminated in the first round. The 76ers, Lakers, Timberwolves and Pistons all bowed out in the second round.
