The Texas Rangers dropped a 9-6 decision to the Los Angeles Angels on Friday night.
Justin Foscue Shines at the Plate
Foscue started at second base and went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored in the losing effort. He was also hit by a pitch during the game.
Foscue extended his hitting streak to four games, during which he's 9-for-15 with a home run, five RBI and four runs scored. This marks a significant improvement for the infielder in his third exposure at the MLB level.
Entering 2026, he was just 3-for-51 (.059) in his first two stints against major-league pitching. He's made seven consecutive starts and has benefited from an injury to Corey Seager (back).
Brandon Nimmo's Big Night
Nimmo went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a double, an additional RBI and a strikeout in Friday's loss.
He launched a solo shot in the fourth inning, giving him six home runs on the year, and later added an RBI double in the seventh that scored Andrew McCutchen.
Nimmo is hitting .277 with a .795 OPS on the season, but he's been seeing the ball extremely well of late.
