Lille clinched third place in Ligue 1 and secured a Champions League berth despite a 2-0 home defeat to Auxerre on the final day of the season.
Mali forward Lassine Sinayoko scored twice for Auxerre, ensuring his team avoided the relegation playoff spot.
"This is not the match we wanted to play, but the main thing is that we finish third. It's the reward for a whole season," said Lille captain Benjamin Andre. "Everybody wants to play in the Champions League."
Lyon Falls Short, Marseille Fifth
Lyon needed a win to finish third but lost 4-0 at home to Lens, with Florian Thauvin adding a second-half goal. Lyon finishes fourth, one point behind Lille, and enters Champions League qualifying.
Marseille beat Rennes 3-1, with goals from Pierre-Emile Höjbjerg, Amine Gouiri and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The win moved Marseille to fifth place—level on points with Rennes but with a better goal difference—securing Europa League qualification.
PSG Ends Season With Loss
Paris Saint-Germain, already crowned French champion, concluded its campaign with a 2-1 defeat to neighborhood rivals Paris FC.
Bradley Barcola opened the scoring before Alimami Gory equalized in the 76th minute and completed his brace in stoppage time.
PSG now turns focus to the Champions League final against Arsenal on May 30 at Puskas Arena in Budapest.
Relegation Battle
Nice finished 16th after a 0-0 draw with last-place Metz and will face Saint-Etienne in the promotion-relegation playoff. Fans invaded the pitch briefly after the final whistle.
Strasbourg produced a remarkable comeback, beating Monaco 5-4 after trailing 4-1 in the 55th minute. Martial Godo and Sebastian Nanasi each scored twice.
Halilhodzic's Finale Ends in Chaos
Nantes coach Vahid Halilhodzic's final match was abandoned due to fan unrest after his team was relegated from Ligue 1.
The 74-year-old Bosnian was honored with a guard of honor before the match against Toulouse but the game was stopped for security reasons after supporters stormed the field.
Halilhodzic retires after returning to Nantes in March. He won the French title with the club as a striker in 1983 and ranks third on Nantes' all-time scorers list with 93 league goals.
