The NFL never stands still when it comes to roster construction. Even after the NFL Draft, front offices are busy making moves, and several notable veterans remain available on the free agent market.
Following the initial waves of free agency, the veteran pool typically enters a hibernation period as teams focus on the draft and seek younger, cost-effective options. Once the draft concludes, the market heats back up as clubs address remaining holes. That's where we find ourselves now.
With the draft behind us and high-profile veterans still seeking teams, let's examine the best fits for the top remaining free agents.
Jauan Jennings: Las Vegas Raiders
Age: 28 | Previous Team: 49ers
The Raiders have already undergone a significant offseason after selecting Fernando Mendoza at No. 1 overall. While Las Vegas strengthened the offensive line to protect their new quarterback—including signing center Tyler Linderbaum in free agency—they need additional weapons at receiver.
Currently, second-year receiver Jack Bech, Tre Tucker, and Jalen Nailor lead the Raiders' receiver unit. Jennings' ceiling may not be exceptionally high, but he offers veteran stability to a young group. His production dipped slightly in 2025 compared to his breakout 2024 season, but the 6-foot-3 pass catcher still hauled in a career-high nine touchdowns.
Taylor Decker: Chicago Bears
Age: 32 | Previous Team: Lions
Decker requested his release from the Lions earlier this offseason after 10 seasons with the franchise. Now he seeks a new opportunity, and joining his former colleague Ben Johnson in Chicago could make sense.
Johnson spent five seasons with the Lions before becoming the Bears' head coach last offseason. Given their prior relationship, Decker could serve as insurance at left tackle, especially considering Ozzy Trapilo's uncertain status after injuring his patellar tendon in the Wild Card win over the Packers. The Bears signed Jedrick Wills Jr. this offseason, but adding Decker to compete for the job remains a viable option.
Stefon Diggs: Los Angeles Rams
Age: 32 | Previous Team: Patriots
The Rams have searched for a wide receiver to pair with Puka Nacua and Davante Adams all offseason. Instead, they selected Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson at No. 13 overall rather than addressing the need.
Diggs is coming off a strong 2025 campaign with the Patriots, surpassing 1,000 yards while helping the franchise reach Super Bowl LX. While his production slowed during the stretch run,仍有油箱 left, particularly in a complementary role with the Rams.
Tyreek Hill: Kansas City Chiefs
Age: 32 | Previous Team: Dolphins
Hill was released by the Dolphins in February as Miami undergoes a full rebuild. His free agent outlook is complicated by a gruesome knee injury, including a torn ACL, suffered last season.
For a receiver who relies heavily on speed, there's concern about his impact at 32 while recovering from this injury. However, the Chiefs could be an ideal landing spot to see what Hill has left. The club made minimal moves at receiver this offseason and recently drafted Cincinnati wideout...
