Ronald Acuna Scores Three Runs in Return, Leads Braves Past Marlins

The Atlanta Braves defeated the Miami Marlins 8-4 on Tuesday night at loanDepot Park.

Ronald Acuna's Strong Return

Acuna went 1-for-4 with two walks, a double and three runs scored in the victory. Returning from a hamstring strain that sidelined him since May 2, the superstar outfielder started at DH and hit from the leadoff spot.

Prior to the injury, Acuna was heating up, slashing .276/.394/.397 over his prior 16 games with four doubles and a homer. With Drake Baldwin (oblique) now on the injured list, Atlanta will need Acuna to find his power stroke quickly.

Braves Supporting Cast

Michael Harris

Harris went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and a stolen base. The center fielder tied the game at 4-4 with a solo shot in the sixth inning.

The long ball was Harris' ninth of the season while the steal was his third. Through 46 contests he's slashing .291/.319/.494 with 19 runs and 26 RBI.

Matt Olson

Olson went 2-for-3 with two walks, a double and three RBI. The first baseman broke the game open with a two-run single in the eighth inning.

It was his first multi-hit, multi-RBI performance since May 9. On the season Olson is slashing .283/.364/.594 with 14 homers, 36 runs and 41 RBI, ranking third in the majors in RBI.

Mauricio Dubon
