Spurs Eliminate Timberwolves, Set Up Conference Finals Clash with Thunder

The Spurs are moving on to face the Thunder in the Western Conference Finals. San Antonio and Victor Wembanyama eliminated the Timberwolves on Friday night, knocking them out in Game 6 of the second round.

The Spurs, in the conference finals for the first time since 2017, will begin their series against OKC on Monday. The Spurs won four of their five meetings against OKC this season, but the reigning champion Thunder have yet to lose in these playoffs.

Pistons Force Game 7 Against Cavaliers

The Pistons, meanwhile, will not go away in the 2026 NBA Playoffs. The Pistons won Game 6 against the Cavaliers in their second-round series on Friday night, staving off elimination for the fourth time this postseason.

The Pistons and Cavs are heading to a decisive Game 7 on Sunday.

Knicks, Thunder Sweep Second-Round Opponents

Earlier in the second round, the Knicks and Thunder pulled off sweeps. New York took care of the 76ers in four games, outscoring Philly by a combined 91 points. The Thunder sent the Lakers packing, improving to 8-0 in these playoffs and raising questions about LeBron James' future.

First-Round Eliminations

The Suns, Trail Blazers, Hawks, Nuggets, Rockets, Celtics, Magic and Raptors were all eliminated in the first round.
