Mauricio Pochettino's immediate future is guiding the co-host United States in this summer's FIFA World Cup, but after that, he's open to going back to London.
Open to a Return
The Argentine tells FourFourTwo that he is open to a return to Tottenham Hotspur.
"Yes, why not?" Pochettino said. "If the right conditions are there, of course. Tottenham feels like home to [my family]. We identify with the club's idiosyncrasies, values and supporters."
Spurs History
Pochettino, 54, spent five-plus seasons at Spurs from 2014 to 2019. He led the club to the 2019 Champions League Final, Spurs' first European final in 35 years.
Having previously managed at Espanyol and Southampton, Pochettino would go on to manage at Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea.
Unfinished Business
Pochettino says unfinished business is what beckons him back to the club game.
"Right now it's about enjoying the World Cup," Pochettino said. "After that, I've always said I came so close to winning the Premier League and Champions League, and want to try again. I'd like to be part of a project with the ambition of winning both."
Spurs in Crisis
Spurs is currently in crisis mode, sitting 18th in the table with five matches remaining. Tottenham trails West Ham by two points for the final safety spot.
Spurs, who appointed former Brighton and Marseille manager Roberto De Zerbi earlier this month, faces the prospect of relegation from the Premier League for the first time ever and relegation from the top flight for the first time in 49 years.
USMNT World Cup Outlook
The USMNT is appearing in its second straight World Cup and 12th overall.
They will compete in Group D alongside Paraguay, Australia and Turkey. The United States' first match is set for June 12 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA.
